DELMAR COLLEGE DANCE ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCE SESSIONS

Del Mar College Dance Ensemble will host three sessions of Music & Movement instructions throughout the day.

 PAPER FLOWERS
Art Museum of South Texas teachers inspired by colors and shapes of art in their Permanent Collection, will create an array of tissue and crepe paper flowers.

GRANDE COMMUNICATIONS CREATIVE ART BOOTH
Art Activities, giveaways and prize drawing with
Samantha Koepp.

RAKU DEMONSTRATION 

 Jim Tabor of Carroll High School will do Raku demonstrations and firings.

 Sunday Only ~11 to 4
 

PRINTS & TRANSFERS 

 K-Space Contemporary volunteers will demonstrate photocopy transfers and stencil paintings with the kids.

Saturday and Sunday 

 

SAND SCULPTURE 

Jim Tabor of Carroll High School will show and teach the art of sand sculpture at a special Sandbox in Sherrill Park.

Saturday will feature special demonstrations and hands on experience from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday the box will be available for anyone who wants to build sand sculptures from 11-4  p.m.

 

PUPPETS AND PURSES  

The Latchkey Program of Parks and Recreation will show how to make hand puppets and purses.

DRAMATIC READINGS FROM CHILDRENS’ BOOKS

Heidi Hovda  will do dramatic readings from 11-12 and 1:30 to 2:30

DESIGN HOLIDAY CARDS  

 Driscoll Children's Hospital will teach interested children how to design new Holiday Cards. The winners determined at a later date will be printed and sold by Driscoll to raise money for the hospital.

COLLAGE STATION 

How to make a collage using different types of paper and experimenting with creating texture, shapes and forms

 

PRINTMAKING STATION 

 Learn printing making basics by using sponge designs with thick tempura paint, a brayer and paper

 

MOSAIC STATION 

Learn the basics of creating a mosaic by using dried  beans, dyed pasta and other common food staples

 

WATERCOLOR STATION

  Learn watercolor paint techniques
